Join us on the beautiful island of Kvaløya...
Kvaløya is a beautiful mountainous island neighbouring Tromsø deep in the arctic circle. The island has a perfect mix of mellow rolling terrain and pointy ‘alpine’ peaks. This gives us great variety in objectives for all standards.
Day ski touring we typically skin for 1 – 4 hrs and aim to reach summits with stunning views and ski wide open slopes right down to sea level..sometimes on to the beach! Impressive summits, expansive sea views and thrilling descents are what this trip is all about. There is ‘gnarly’ skiing here, but also a lot of very pleasant, more mellow, open slopes and fantastic tree skiing through native birch woodland….we like it all!
